Dr. Steve Van Laecken, D.C
Chiropractic Physician / Owner
Known as Dr. Steve, D.C, is a proud father to a beautiful blended family of seven daughters. He believes deeply in the power of chiropractic care—healing through touch is at the core of what he does. He regularly provides care to his entire family and also receives chiropractic adjustments multiple times a week to maintain his own health and wellness.Born and raised in Minnesota, Dr. Steve Chiropractic Physician was inspired to pursue chiropractic after receiving life-changing treatment in 1988. That experience sparked a lifelong passion for helping others. He went on to attend Parker Chiropractic College in Dallas, Texas, where he graduated with honors in December 2005. He earned his Doctorate in Chiropractic as well as a Bachelor of Science in Anatomy, and became certified in several adjusting techniques. Chiropractor Dr. Steve stays active by participating in events like Spartan races, softball, and trail running with his children. He strongly believes that staying healthy himself is essential to teaching others how to live healthier lives.At SpinalWorks, Dr. Steve Chiropractic Physician aims to create an environment where patients are empowered to reach their full health potential through chiropractic care. His goal is for everyone who walks out the door to feel recharged and ready to take on whatever comes next.

Dani
Operations integration Director
Dani was born & raised in Southern California. That is where she kicked off her chiropractic career 21 years ago and brought that passion with her to Idaho in 2006. She’s driven to help chiropractic offices level up, boosting team confidence, strengthening systems, and earning her title as the undeniable “mom of the office”.
Dani brings heart, leadership, and a deep commitment to helping her team at Gonstead Spine and Wellness operate at their highest potential.
When she’s not mom at the office, Dani is busy being a full-time mom at home with her 7 children & grandson. Most of her free time is spent traveling across the states for her kids’ competitive sports & juggling schedules with her signature “chaos coordinator” energy. When she finally slows down, you’ll find her unwinding with her two 130-lb Cane Corsos puppies.
Piper
Office Manager
Piper brings high energy, organization, and a passion for helping people to her role as the office manager at Gonstead Spine & Wellness. She served five years on active duty in the U.S. Army, including a tour in Syria/Iraq, and now continues to serve as a proud Army Reservist. Her military background taught her the importance of teamwork, communication, and taking care of others—skills she now brings to supporting both patients and staff each day.
Piper loves being part of a clinic where she can connect with people, keep the day running smoothly, and create a welcoming experience for every patient who walks through the door.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family, cheering on her kids at their athletic events, and relaxing with her dogs. She’s excited to be part of the Gonstead Spine & Wellness team and to keep growing with the practice.
Paul
Exercise Therapist / Traction
Paul is from Orlando, Florida. He has a bachelor’s degree in Sports and Exercise Science from the University of Central Florida. He was previously a personal trainer for 2 years. His interest in chiropractic care and rehabilitation ultimately brought him to Gonstead Spine & Wellness. Paul’s passion for assisting people with their rehabilitation needs continues to drive him in this industry. In his free time, Paul enjoy being active, continuing his education, and spending time with loved ones.
Lisa
New Patient Coordinator
Lisa was raised in Las Vegas, NV. After receiving a business administration degree from Pepperdine University, she moved to Spokane, WA, and worked as an office administrator for a legal office and then as an HR director for an ophthalmology clinic. She moved to Meridian in 2023 to be closer to family. After sitting at a desk most of her career, she thought it would be interesting to find a job where she would move more throughout the day and learn something completely new. She stumbled across Gonstead Spine and Wellness and trained to scribe, complete new patient consults and exams, and take and mark x-rays. When not at work, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family and exploring the area.
Niki
Patient Care Coordinator
Niki was born and raised in Hawaiʻi and moved to Idaho in 2021. She is currently completing her studies at Boise State University and will graduate in the spring of 2026 with a bachelor’s degree in health science and an associate’s degree in science.
Niki chose to join this team to pursue her passion for patient care and to gain meaningful, hands-on experience in a fast-paced clinical environment. She values opportunities that allow her to learn, grow, and contribute to high-quality care for every patient. In her free time, she enjoys taking care of her many animals and spending time with loved ones.
Lesley
front office Coordinator
Lesley moved to Idaho at the age of three and has called it home ever since. After graduating high school, she attended Idaho State University without being entirely sure of her career path. During that time, she became a certified personal trainer and spent a year working in fitness before realizing it wasn’t the direction she wanted long-term. She later transitioned into bartending, where she discovered how much she enjoys connecting with people and creating a welcoming atmosphere. After several years in the restaurant industry, Lesley began seeking something more consistent and purpose-driven leading her to the opportunity to work at Gonstead Spine and Wellness, where she’s excited to grow, contribute, and build a stable future.
Sonya
Traction Decompression Tech
Sonya is from Newport, Oregon. She graduated with honors from the University of Oregon with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. After college Sonya lived in Seattle for two years working as a patient care coordinator at a prosthetics and orthotics office. In 2025 she moved to Boise and wanted a job that was more active and engaging. Growing up dancing and weightlifting she has always had an interest in how the body moves and functions. She is excited to continue her education and loves spending her free time with friends and family, exploring the outdoors, lifting, dancing, and hanging out with her dog and cats.
Trevor
Production Manager
Trevor is from Fresno, California. He comes from a long history of customer care, with a background rooted in building relationships. His interest in chiropractic care came from his inspiration found through the Gonstead Method and Chiropractic Biophysics. Trevor is passionate about helping people and supporting a well-rounded, high-performing team. His dedication to creating a positive and structured patient experience continues to drive him in this industry. In his free time, Trevor enjoys weight training, reading books, and maintaining a high level of dedication as a Star Wars fan.
